Parents: Sure we'll happily pay $800 for a week of summer camp it is a VALUABLE SOCIAL EXPERIENCE. Wait, you say you'd rather not? But it will be good for you! You are going. 
Parents: Why don't you join a club or something?
Me: Uh, so there's this convention happening next year and I can pay for my own admission and--
Parents: Oh god, not this again. Dressing up in those ridiculous costumes and going to cons, what a senseless waste of money. Some days I just have to remind myself that this won't last forever and you'll grow out of it.

FACTS ABOUT THINGS:

TUMBLR WAS GETTING TOO EXPENSIVE. THEIR OPTIONS WERE TO EITHER SELL IT OR SHUT IT DOWN.

YAHOO SAYS THEY’RE GOING TO LET IT RUN AS AN INDEPENDENT BUSINESS. IN THEORY, NOTHING WILL CHANGE EXCEPT FOR WHO’S LEGALLY OWNING IT.

If I was a famous author I would publish a book with ten different endings which all went to print with varying degrees of rarity, but not tell the fans about it so that I could watch their confusion as they disagree over how the story ended. Then when they figured it out I would ‘come clean’, telling them that I had released eleven alternate endings and watch them panic again as they all try to find the last ending.

This is perfect.
